You enter the room and gaze about....she is sitting at a rickity old looking table, with what appears to be a large piece of silk painted with moons and stars spread over it. Her eyes pick up the faint glow of the candle light as she lifts her head to look at you. She beckons you over to sit at the table.

"Greetings," she says in that melodious voice of hers,"welcome to one of my havens in my realm...sit...I shall do a reading for you...and tell you of the cards...."

She hands you a glass of red wine and sits down at the table in the center of the room...she pulls out a rather large deck of cards and begins to shuffle....

"Here....you must shuffle the deck...or at least hold it ...and concentrate on a question you have or perhaps a problem..."

She hands you the deck of cards and waits as you shuffle...

"These are tarot cards...there are 78 cards in the deck making up two sections. The two sections are called the major arcana and the minor arcana."

she takes the cards from you and begins to place them on the table in front of her....turning them over from the side.

"They say that my people brought these cards all over Europe....I know not....only that I learned them from my grandmother...and she from hers."

she motions to the 10 cards set out on the table

"This spread is called the Celtic Cross one of the most popular....each cards has a different meaning...as does each place that the card is set in..."

She begins to explain to you what each cards and its place means..her hands gracefully moving over the cards in question..when she finishes she asks if it answered your question..or at least helped.

"I hoped you found it useful....there are other parts to this room that will explain more in depth...I grow weary..."

she moves her hand onto the table in a suddenly graceless move, knocking down your glass of wine. She tries to catch it but fails.

"Oh....my" She exclaims, shock quite evident in her voice, as well as a trace of embarassment.

You watch as amazement as she blushes slightly...she looks at your expression and laughs lightly...

"Yes...I can blush...I can also make mistakes....and that was one...I shall go...you are welcome to wander about the rest of this room...and you may read anything you come across...I have written down many meanings of cards and such....I do hope you find it of use."

As always she fades quickly from few, seemingly drifting into, and becoming one with the shadows. She disappears from view leaving no more then your memory of her as evidence that she was there at all.
